History

Seeing is believing! After our onsite tour with founder Dorothée Schiesser-Peyrouzet of SapoCycle located at Wohnwerk in Basel, we were deeply moved by the work they are doing. SapoCycle in a non-profit organization that collects discarded soap from hotels and upcycles the products into soaps that help save lives.

Sitting down with Daniel Gosteli of Birtel Beer gave us a whole new appreciation for the world of craft beer. They do things differently at Birtel. They think of the long game. They care about the environment and they place a great deal of emphasis on sourcing local ingredients whenever possible. Their concept is as refreshing as the beers they brew. Oh, and they are a company that supports 1% for the planet and we love that!

In December we met with the Co-Founder of Almighty Tree to discuss about the inspiration behind the organization, their take on the majesty of trees, and where they hope to go in the future.

November we met Oliver from Glace Löööv and learned all about the benefits of turning food that would otherwise go to waste into delicious ice cream. Do you want to know their best-selling flavor? It’s chocolate! Thanks, Löööv!

In October we helped support the Summit Foundation as volunteers in Kandersteg and Basel Clean-Up days. We had a great time removing 24+ kilos of trash with the guys over at Birtel Beer and some pretty awesome friends.

reVyven hosted a dynamic immersive outdoor experience for an international group at Melchsee-Frutt. The day started with a discussion on the environment and sustainability and then the group hit the trails. The day was rich with insight, deep thoughts, and the views were amazing.

We had the privilege of kicking off our live forum events with @meinbaumdeinbaum in September. We learned all about the benefits of planting trees in urban environments and the role “future trees” will play in the years to come. Thank you Amanda and Emma for your time and we wish you continued success. We also made a radio appearance on RadioX in Basel.
